by: Mark Dixon

I’ve taken the liberty of putting together a list of five suggestions that is intended to help you make your relationship last for more than just a few days or months. These suggestions are merely a scratch on the surface with regards to ways in which you can make your relationship work. Because as we all know, relationships in general has its ups and does and for most there are more downs than ups, but the most important thing you should always consider when making decisions about the future of your relationship is how you feel about each other. Not only that, but you should also consider whether or not the relationship you are now in is physically, and emotionally healthy for you. With that said, kindly take the time to read the following relationship suggestions.

1) Direct Communication:
It’s always a good idea to practice communicating with your partner as direct as possible. Using the hint method as a way to get your message across will only lead to confusion.

2) Always show your partner affection:
The only time that you show your partner affection should not limit itself to what goes on in the bedroom. Showing affection may include but not limited to: holding hands in public, a pleasant smile or gesture, hugging, kissing, a gentle rub on the back or something as simple as a compliment.

3) Continue to do fun activities with each other:

Try to do as much fun activities with your partner as possible, but avoid intruding on activities they usually enjoy doing alone.

4) Show respect for each other:
One of the most important factors that determines whether or not you stay in a relationship boils down to the level of respect within the relationship. So if each time spent with your partner involves a lot of name calling, physical abuse, and the use of offensive language is definitely a sign that your relationship will not last.

5) Try to develop good problem solving skills:
A lot of couples believe that a healthy way of dealing with relationship problems is to avoid it all together. That might be a temporary solution to the problem at hand; however on a long term basis that may not be the healthy way of dealing with problems. Because over a period of time there will be so much built up anger and hurt that it will explode and become something nasty.
