Your friend Maria decides to introduce you to this wonderful Jamaican lady by the name of Norma. One night while you and Norma were having a conversation over the phone you decided to pop the big question. Will you go on a date with me? Norma responded by saying YES.
I’ve taken the liberty of putting together a list of five questions that can determine what happens after your first date with Norma. Is it a romantic relationship or friendship?
So, tell me a little bit about yourself?
To some this might seem as a typical question to ask on the first date. However, it is also a great way to open the doors for general/random talks about any topic that may surface. The misconception that some have is that the first date is a period of intense drilling of that potential partner instead of a day or night where you learn more about each other. In most instances neither one nor the other would be open to the thought of someone ?digging into their skins? for information. Why not take it slow and have them tell you about herself?
Do you have any kids?
It is without question that most females would let you know from that start that they have a child. However, there are a few that would rather keep it a secret until the fifth date. If her answer the question of ?Do you have any kids?? is yes, ask the age of the child and about her relationship with the child?s father. She has a one-month-old child? Do I hear baby-father drama? RUN!
When was your last relationship?
I can’t emphasize enough how important this question is. Reason being, a female that recently broke-up with her now ex boyfriend might still be going through some emotional issues. And to prevent yourself from having to deal with her emotional ups and downs. My best advise to you is to take things slow, because the last thing you want is to be with someone that is still in love or emotionally connected with their ex.
How many serious relationships have you had in the last year?
If her answer to that question is five ? think twice before becoming seriously involved with a female with five or more guys under her belt. Its either she?s always lucky when choosing the wrong guys or she has relationship commitment issues. One or the other, five relationships in one year is a little too much ?serious? relationship one person should have. RUN!
What are your views about marriage?
If you are the type of guy that is looking to have a wife, kids, and white picket fences in the not so distant future. Finding a female that is family oriented will determine whether or not your dream of having the ?ideal family? becomes a reality.
